Smile, My Darling

I find it extremely unfair that everybody has been to…everywhere. Or on a plane at least once. All of my friends have been to Queensland, sure, they deserve it. But I’m Anglo-Indian so I want to go to India not just for the hell of it, but because I want to really know where I come from and see the traditions. I want to buy a sari, I want to get henna done, I want to try on one of their nose rings! Everybody else wants to go there, ride an elephant, see and take photos of the Taj Mahal and that’s about it. The people in life who deserve things are always coming out second, that’s the way life is. I find it really unfair and the only thing I want in this world is to travel to India. I don’t care if I’m stuck in Melbourne for the rest of my life after that, all I want is to travel and see India for real. That’s all I want and hell, I know for a bloody fact that maybe I’ll never go. No, I’ll most likely never see India for myself. So while everyone else is traveling off to China and Queensland and London and Paris and everywhere, I hope they comeback knowing that there’s something else, no, millions of people in the world who deserved that trip more than they did.
